'Small Reclining Nude (After Matisse)’ is a unique wall sculpture made from original Rubik’s Cubes, mounted on an MDF panel.
Developed after Henri Matisse’s Large Reclining Nude (1935), the work reduces the original composition to a simplified arrangement of colour and form within the rigid structure of the Rubik’s Cube grid.
Rather than reproducing the image in detail, the composition translates it through a limited palette and a condensed visual language shaped by the material itself.
Viewed from the side, the adjacent faces of the cubes reveal the physical construction of the work and introduce a more fragmented chromatic structure beyond the frontal composition.
The work is signed on the reverse, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and professionally packed for international shipping.
